Power of Nature is incredible. It can easily destroy us, and equally easily, it can heal us. After a couple of days in the jungle of the wild Costa Rica, I felt like my physical body contour was fading away and I was becoming one with the wind, water and sun. My mind was clear and I felt calm and happy.
Sunset and sunrise yoga practices were magically transforming me into a well balanced being, giving me the sensation of joy and moving me deeper into the center of my soul. I felt like nothing could take me out of balance. I DO NOT want any TV noise or any kind of fabricated noise for that matter! Nothing but the monkey screams and ocean sound. Wow! What happened to me? How quickly I forgot my buddies from the dear-near-to my heart TV shows!
Once in a while, everyone should disconnect from the fast-paced life we live among cell-towers and asphalt freeways. Everyone should take a ride on the dirt roads sharing their way with caws and horsemen.
Everyone should take a moment and connect with the Nature, with the source of our existence. It is magical!
The retreat in Costa Rica was wonderful and I will do it again, and again! My only advice to you, find time to live life! We are all too busy, swirling in daily responsibilities, carrying on our industrial existence and missing out on the beautiful moments that matter the most!
My 7 day retreat was delicious! – in all senses of that word.
Here is one :
Coconut - tomato salad
Use roma tomatoes. Cut them in half and clean the centers out, leaving those for tomato sauce (for some other dish). That will prevent your tomato salad to produce too much juice and become “wet”.
Slice the “meaty” tomatoes so they look like half-moon; also slice red onion, thinly.
Toss onion and tomatoes with lots of shared coconut, and fresh cilantro. Spice it up with the hot red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sea salt. Dress it with the apple vinegar and olive oil. This is a wonderful, cleansing dish that can be served on the side of any dinner plate!
